The Owlbox is a new monthly book club for children aged 9-11 who love reading, discussing books and discovering exciting stories. The aim is to encourage children to read which will in turn improve their vocabulary, an important skill for the 11 Plus.
Children will join a small group of up to 8 members and meet with me for a 30-minute session each month. Each term, members will receive 4 carefully selected books, discussion questions for each book and opportunities to win prizes.
All book club sessions will be led by Natalie, with the first three sessions taking place on Teams and the fourth held in person, including seasonal activities.
You will receive the first Owlbox by the 1st September 2026 and subsequent boxes issued in December and April at meet-ups.
Each month, there is the choice of three meeting times on a Friday and a Sunday, booked through a protected link provided upon purchase.
The combination of a carefully chosen book, guided activities and interactive discussions will keep the children motivated to read every month.
The addition of seasonal in-person sessions helps to create a sense of community and allows the children to bring along their own book suggestions.
What’s included:
- A brand-new book each month
- Targeted discussion questions
- Monthly meeting in a small group of 8 children
- The “golden owl challenge” (see below)
- Exclusive Owlbox resources
