I will be running a number of Year 6 workshops in October to guide the children through their private school entrance entry, post the 11 Plus exam. I have organised the workshops to best help with when the children will sit their exams. I will be covering the following schools:

What do workshops include?
Workshop 1: Interview Preparation Monday 28th October – 9am-12pm
In this workshop the children will learn the skills required to go into any interview with confidence by guiding them on what to expect and the type of questions that may come up. They will be guided on interview etiquette, how to stand out from the crowd and be guided on how to answer even the most challenging questions. As part of this workshop the children will also be given pointers on public speaking and explore philosophy for children techniques. The children will be issued with interview books to complete as follow up work for this workshop.

Workshop 2: CATs (Cognitive Ability Tests) Level 4D Tuesday 29th October 9am-12pm
In this workshop the children will be learning the skills required to complete the CATs 4D. This is the level that is tested at many of the private schools. The children will cover up to CATS 4B in their schools so we explore the harder material and develop techniques around sitting a more challenging paper. As part of this workshop the children will complete a number of practice questions and given follow up work to complete after the workshop.

Workshop 3: Wednesday 30th October 9am-12pm
In this workshop the children will complete practice Pre-ISEB online tests in exam conditions to mimic the Pre-ISEB. They will cover all four sub sections: English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning Tests. The children will also be guided through strategies for getting through this style of exam. The children will be issued with follow up work as part of this workshop.
